My salmon was cooked rare, to perfection. I tried a friend's steak and felt it a bit chewy but perhaps normal for grass-fed beef. It was a generous steak.
The ice cream sandwich dessert was very good and quite creative with only the slightest issue of a few slivers of almond in the cookies being overly chewy and tough.
We agreed it was a very good experience and even plan to return in a week with more friends...
The restaurant is nice with almost a home-like feel. The upstairs was rather warm so we chose to be downstairs. The bar is large and separated so that noise is somewhat contained.
My family and I were visiting the area for the first time and saw this restaurant when we googled places to eat. We walked in, had to search for someone working there, and the bar tender who was apparently the waitress as well could not have been more rude. She never greeted us, we had to ask where we should sit and she coldly said sit wherever. We sat at a table and after waiting several minutes, noticed she had left. We got up and left and on our way out she was standing in the door of the kitchen just talking with the cooking staff. She was completely rude and treated us like a bother. Will never return to this place.
Literally the best meal I've ever had. The service is exceptional, everyone is so friendly and warm, and it makes for a truly great dining experience. We went here for our five year anniversary and I can honestly say we could not have made a better choice in venue! The wings were good (nice and spicy!) And we even loved the bread and butter! We ordered a hangar steak at the chef's recommendation. It is the best steak I have ever had! The potato rissoto and asparagus with parmesan cheese sprinkled on top everything was to die for. And their draft beer selection is great too! 10/10 would come here again. And again. And again!
I felt the roasted peach appetizer was undercooked but tasty. The crab cakes were perhaps the best I have ever experienced, with very little filler.
The service was a bit slow at times but overall, OK. They were a bit stingy with the bread, but (almost begrudgingly) after a wait, brought us more. The serving of unsalted butter with the bread was generous. There was no salt or pepper on any tables... A sure sign of fine dining and the chef's confidence?
The food is very good, it's worth going for that reason alone. However the wait staff needs work. Polite enough but water glasses not refilled, no checking to see if coffee needed refilling. No offer of coffee or tea with dessert. Simple stuff and easy enough to fix.
Very poor service but the staff is incredibly friendly. It took 10 minutes for a hostess to come to the front to seat us and then an additional 20 to get a menu. It just went downhill from there. All the food was burnt and cold. It’s a good casual place to eat if you’re on the mountain but do not go out of your way to go here.
A couple and I ate here early on a Saturday night. There was live acoustic guitar and vocals. The entertainment was quite good (and not too loud or intrusive) but didn't he didn't have much vocal range so it became a bit monotonous after a while for my tastes, since some songs just needed more range.
They took away my silverware when clearing the appetizer plates and did not recognize that they needed to bring more nor did they stop by the table early on to see if our entrees were to our liking or if anything was required. Pepper... Small things, but not quite marrying well with the level of the food being served and prices.
